• Goal: To become a climate-neutral poultry production unit
Aggelakis S.A., which this year celebrates 60 years of presence in the Greek market, has entered into two key partnerships—with OPTILOG Advisory Services and DEPA Commercial—as part of its strategy to reduce its carbon footprint.
Since early 2022, Aggelakis has been working with OPTILOG Advisory Services to calculate the carbon emissions generated across the full range of its operations and to establish a comprehensive action plan aimed at their gradual reduction. The long-term objective is to fully offset its CO₂ emissions and transform Aggelakis into a carbon-neutral poultry unit within the next decade.
Additionally, in its ongoing effort to minimize environmental impact, Aggelakis has launched a collaboration with DEPA Commercial with two main goals:
- To replace all company vehicles and trucks with models powered by natural gas.
- To implement joint initiatives promoting natural gas as an alternative fuel for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
Aggelakis remains committed to investing in reducing its environmental footprint, as well as in raising awareness among the public and its employees—always with the ultimate aim of continuing to produce high-quality, great-tasting chicken products with respect for nature, animals, and people.
