On Saturday, February 3rd, Aggelakis S.A. welcomed the new year 2024 with its traditional New Year’s Pie Cutting event in Chalkida. The gathering brought together employees and their families, close friends and partners, as well as representatives from political leadership and local authorities.
Among those present were: Member of Parliament for Evia Ms. Konstantina Karampatsoli, Regional Governor of Central Greece Mr. Fanis Spanos, Mayor of Chalkida Ms. Elena Vaka, Deputy Regional Governor of Evia Mr. Giorgos Kelaitidis, Port Authority Chief Mr. Kostas Flouris, and Chief of Police for Evia Mr. Konstantinos Koukouvinos. In their remarks, they all emphasized the vital role Aggelakis plays in supporting the local community. Also, in attendance were representatives from the NGO The Smile of the Child, which Aggelakis has been proudly supporting every year since 2008.
The evening was filled with surprises, gifts, dancing, and above all, a joyful atmosphere – elements that made this event special, dedicated to the people of Aggelakis. Particularly moving was the presence of the company’s founder, Mr. Nikos Aggelakis, who symbolized the values and vision that have guided the company for 61 years, while also pointing the way forward to future growth and evolution.
Aggelakis continues its dynamic and successful presence in the poultry industry, recording double-digit growth in 2023. The company has significantly increased its workforce and solidified its position both in Greece and internationally. Last year was deemed a great success, with the €15 million investment plan—announced in 2023—already underway. These investments, spanning all areas of the company’s operations, are expected to be completed by 2025, marking a transformative upgrade in infrastructure, capabilities, and the daily work environment for employees.
In his speech, Thanos Aggelakis, CEO of Aggelakis SA, highlighted the vital role of the people behind the company: “The success of this company is not the result of my work or the work of the Management team. The credit belongs to all of us! And I’m especially proud to see that every year, our team keeps growing. We look ahead—united as one—for all the great things that are yet to come. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.”
