Aggelakis: New distinctions at the Made in Greece Awards 2022

Export Excellence Award for the company 
• Innovative Consumer Product Award for the handmade OliVchicken burger with oat 

Aggelakis S.A., which celebrates 60 years of successful presence in the poultry sector this year, was honored with the Silver Award in the Export Excellence category at the Made in Greece Awards 2022. The awards ceremony took place on June 20 at the Zappeion Megaron, recognizing Greek manufacturing companies that continue to create and invest in the country. At the same time, the handmade OliVchicken burger with organic oat by Aggelakis received the Bronze Award in the Innovative Consumer Product category

The awards are organized by the Hellenic Academy of Marketing (ELAM) in collaboration with Direction Business Network. This year’s ceremony, held under the auspices of the Ministries of Finance, Development & Investments, and Rural Development & Food, as well as the Municipality of Athens, was dedicated to the memory of the distinguished marketing professor and ELAM founder, Georgios Avlonitis

The evaluation criteria for excellence and recognition included quality, innovation, differentiation, targeted markets, international distribution networks, strong brand identity, and use of domestic production resources. Aggelakis S.A., which currently exports its OliVchicken product range to several international markets both within and outside the EU, was awarded for its strong export activity and international focus, which also contribute to the growth of the national economy. Following the successful placement of OliVchicken products in four new markets since 2021 (Germany, Austria, Hong Kong, and the United Arab Emirates), Aggelakis continues to invest in expanding its exports, actively seeking new partnerships and distribution opportunities. Particular focus is given to the European market, as well as the Middle East

The handmade OliVchicken burger with oat by Aggelakis, launched in the Greek market in April 2021 following years of research, stood out in the Innovative Consumer Product category for its combination of nutrition, taste, and pure ingredients. It is kneaded with organic whole-grain oats and made using the company’s signature OliVchicken – chicken meat of high nutritional value, raised on a diet based on corn and pure olive oil, and rich in selenium. Turmeric and fresh vegetables are also included in the burger, and together with its gluten-free and high-fiber profile, they complete the product’s successful formula.
