“Give Blood, Save a Life”
With the central message “Give Blood, save a Life”, Aggelakis S.A. proudly served as the main sponsor of a volunteer blood donation event organized by the websites infokids.gr and infowoman.gr, in collaboration with the Hellenic Red Cross. The event took place at Avenue Shopping Center on Saturday, March 30, 2024, and successfully collected 16 units of blood—a contribution that has the potential to save up to 48 lives.
The need for blood donations in Greece remains high and ongoing. That’s why regular blood donation, by those who are able, is of vital importance. This initiative had a dual purpose: first, to collect as much blood as possible for those in urgent need, and second, to raise public awareness about the critical importance of voluntary blood donation.
In parallel, a Red Cross team was also present to collect bone marrow samples from volunteer donors at the shopping center, further extending the impact of the event.
By supporting this initiative, Aggelakis aims to help educate both young and old about the value of volunteering and giving. Even a seemingly small act can have a profound impact—or even save a life.
This effort is part of a broader corporate social responsibility program led by Aggelakis, with a focus on children and health.
