“Gevmati_ZO”: Aggelakis launches nutrition education initiatives in schools

Aggelakis SA, the Greek poultry company based in Evia, announces the launch of a series of educational initiatives in schools, starting from the Region of Central Greece, aiming to highlight the importance of proper and balanced nutrition.

The first activities of the “Gevmati_ZO (Dine to Live)” series took place at the 3rd Primary School and the 2nd Kindergarten of Nea Artaki and had an experiential character. Through interactive activities, children learned about the role of protein, vitamins and carbohydrates in a balanced meal, and actively participated in the preparation of nutritious snacks, cultivating healthy eating habits from an early age.

The initiative was supported by Mama’s ready-to-cook chicken nuggets, made from tender chicken fillet and free from preservatives, enhancing the children’s practical experience around the value of pure and high-quality ingredients in nutrition.

A highlight moment was when the children tasted their creations with enthusiasm and pride, while at the end of the activity they received certificates of participation, as a recognition of their eagerness and active involvement.

The CEO & Chairman of the company, Mr. Thanos Aggelakis, stated: “For us at Aggelakis, investing in the new generation is not a choice but a responsibility. Every such initiative is a small but meaningful step towards a society with greater knowledge, health and conscious choices.” The event was also attended by the Deputy Regional Governor for Education in the Region of Central Greece, Mr. Anastasios Velissariou, as well as Aggelakis’ HR team.

The “Gevmati_ZO” initiatives are part of Aggelakis’ holistic corporate social responsibility program “Taste of Care”, through which the company actively supports Greek society, with a primary focus on children.

Guided by care, the power of giving and the taste of good life, Aggelakis continues to invest in initiatives that empower local communities and contribute to shaping a more sustainable future for all.
