Aggelakis S.A. proudly maintains its long-standing partnership with the organization “The Smile of the Child”, continuing its annual support of the Day Care Home in Bourtsi, Chalkida, Evia—making children’s wishes come true, year after year.
As part of this ongoing commitment, Aggelakis S.A. provides its high-quality poultry products on a weekly basis, ensuring that children and their families enjoy nutritious meals as part of their daily diet. Over the past three years, the company has also offered Christmas gifts, clothing, and footwear to the children supported by the Day Care Home.
This year, in a warm and festive Christmas atmosphere, and with all appropriate safety measures in place, a joyful celebration was organized in collaboration with the staff of “The Smile of the Child.” Mr. Thanos Aggelakis, CEO of Aggelakis S.A., personally delivered the children’s Christmas gifts—carefully selected based on their letters to Santa Claus—and shared with them delicious chicken bites and seasonal sweets. The children welcomed him with smiles, heartfelt drawings, and handwritten messages of love and appreciation.
It is worth noting that three years ago, Aggelakis S.A. contributed to the complete renovation of the Day Care Home in Evia, helping create a more comfortable, modern, and well-maintained environment for the children. Since then, the company has continued to support efforts to improve the quality of life for every child in the Home.
Founded in 1995, “The Smile of the Child” has supported more than 1,200,000 children and their families across Greece. With the vision of ensuring every child’s smile, the organization operates 24/7, 365 days a year, offering nationwide services that effectively address urgent issues such as violence, disappearances, health concerns, and financial hardship. The Day Care Home in Bourtsi has been a safe haven for children since 2009 and currently cares for 17 children aged 8 to 17.
