Product Handling

  • Refrigerator: The ideal temperature for storing chicken in the fridge, is between 0°C to 4°C. Keep raw chicken meat separate from other foods. Consume it before the ‘use by’ date.
  • Freezing: If you want to preserve chicken for a longer period, the ideal freezing temperature is -18°C or lower. To ensure the quality, taste and safety of stored chicken, freeze it as soon as you get it home and before the ‘use by’ date.
  • Thawing: Place it in a covered container on the bottom shelf of the fridge and let it thaw slowly at a temperature of 2 to 4°C. Once defrosted, raw chicken should be cooked promptly and thoroughly and must not be refrozen.
